Donadoni: Parma striker not heading to Sassuolo
The newly-promoted side had reportedly been in negotiations with Parma to sign Sansone, who was born and raised in Germany but has played for Italy at Under-21 level, on a co-ownership deal.
However, Donadoni emphasised in a press conference on Saturday that the 21-year-old’s future lies at the Stadio Ennio Tardini.
“Sansone belongs to us, this is a decision that we have all agreed on,” the 49-year-old tactician stated.
“Everything else is nothing other than irrelevant chatter.”
Donadoni talked about the personnel in his squad, in anticipation of Sunday night’s match against Chievo.
“Compared with last year, the team has not been disrupted at all. If anything, we now have more options which can help us greatly in different areas of the pitch.”
“If the attackers in the team scored seven to eight goals each, for me that would be great,” Dondadoni added.
