Fiorentina sporting director denies move for Queens Park Rangers goalkeeper is imminent
Speaking to Sky Sport Italia, Prade moved to quash rumours of an impending move, leaving the player’s future up in the air once again.
“I’ve never contacted QPR for Julio Cesar or his agent,” he said.
“I therefore deny the stories in the newspapers.”
The 33-year-old former Inter custodian has also been linked with Napoli and Roma this summer and was reportedly set for a move to the Gigliati.
It was reported that Prade had agreed a €3 million fee with the London club, but appears as though a move to the Viola is not close to completion.
Cesar made 24 Premier League appearances for the London club after moving from Inter last summer.
