Fiorentina coach Vincenzo Montella has identified French defender Adil Rami as a potential transfer target after pre-season losses to Sporting Lisbon and Villarreal left questions marks over the club’s back line.
Rami would serve as cover for Gonzalo Rodriguez and Stefan Savic, with Ahmed Hegazy failing to impress, and would also give Montella the flexibility to play in a back three.
According to Firenzeviola.it, Valencia are believed to want at least €10 million for the 27-year-old, who has also been linked with clubs such as Napoli, Arsenal, and Tottenham recently.
Rami has spent the last two seasons at Valencia after playing the majority of his career with French side Lille and has been capped 25 times by the French national team.
