Former Liverpool goalkeeper set to sign for Verona
Newly promoted Serie A side Verona have negotiated with Dutch side Twente the transfer of Bulgarian goalkeeper Nikolay Mihaylov, with medicals the only remaining formality before the 25-year-old officially signs for the Gialloblu.
While the transfer fee was undisclosed, Twente are reported to potentially receive 20 percent of the fee for Mihaylov’s next transfer.
“I’m going to Milan [on Tuesday], where I have to pass medicals and sign for Verona,” the 26-time capped Bulgarian international told local Dutch media, via Reuters.
While playing for the Tukkers, he won the Eredivisie title in 2010, the Dutch cup in 2011, and the Dutch Super Cup both years.
