Galliani: PSV match not important in AC Milan’s history
The Rossoneri are in Holland for the first leg of a tie in which qualification is a must.
“I remember when we went to PSV and signed Ruud Gullit,” the Rossonero official noted. “They are a noble side who have had players such as Ronaldo and Romario in their ranks.
“It is one of the most important play-off games, but let us not overload it.
“These games are vital every year, but it is not the most important in our history.
“We played well on our American tour,” Galliani added. “I think the side is in good shape, but I don’t want to make any predictions…”
The Milan club have not been as active in the transfer market as some of their Serie A counterparts, but Galliani is happy with their work so far.
“The transfers which we wanted to take place have happened. This is an ultra-competitive side, with good players.”
Keisuke Honda of CSKA Moscow has been a target for Milan this summer, and more recently, Paris Saint-Germain defender Mamadou Sakho has been linked.
“There is no news on Honda and Sakho hasn’t been offered to us,” Galliani replied.
