Taarabt - QPRGenoa sporting director Daniele Delli Carri is proceeding with his attempts to convince Queens Park Rangers midfielder Adel Taarabt to join the Grifone as they continue to strengthen coach Fabio Liverani’s squad.

Although the Rossoblu have reportedly agreed a deal with the former Premier League club for the Moroccan it appears the 24-year-old still needs to be convinced that he should make the move to the port city.

According to Tuttomercatoweb president Enrico Preziosi has also made a bid for Real Zaragoza’s Alvaro Gonazalez after missing out on another defensive target Matias Silvestre as he joined AC Milan from Inter.

The Spanish side have rejected the Grifone’s initial offer though deeming it lower than their valuation of the 23-year-old defender.

However, it is believed that Preziosi has not been put off by the negative response received and is currently formulating a second offer for them to consider.

Last season both Taarabt and Gonzalez were relegated with their respective clubs and will be hoped that the appeal of top flight football will be enough to convince them to move to experience Serie A for the first time.
