Juventus centre midfielder Luca Marrone is set to join Serie A new boys Sassuolo on a co-ownership deal.
The 23-year-old has found playing time hard to come by at the Juventus Stadium with coach Antonio Conte’s preference of a midfield trio consisting of Arturo Vidal, Andrea Pirlo and Claudio Marchisio.
The emergence of French starlet Paul Pogba and his ever impressive displays to start this season has also pushed the former Siena man even further down the pecking order.
Sky Sport reports that the deal should be concluded on Saturday, with the Neroverdi handing over €3.5 million to the Bianconeri for half of the player’s rights.
Juve youth product Marrone had also been linked with Monaco, Everton and Fiorentina among others but now looks to be joining Serie B champions Sassuolo.
He has managed one goal in 20 appearance for the Turin giants in three seasons at the club, and spent the 2010/11 season on loan at Siena.
