About the Author

- Dutchman trying to understand the Calcio game. Me and Calcio, our relation started with Batistuta’s great goal against Juve in 1999 and survived hard times when Totti humiliated Edwin van der Sar with a fantastic chip during the Euro2000 in my country and our relation was more or less over when Inzaghi scored a late goal for Milan against my club Ajax in 2003. Felt in love again when Prandelli’s stunning Fiorentina surprised Europe and definitely back again since the day I experienced the extraordinary atmosphere in the San Paolo.
