Matri - Juventus v CelticOut of favour Juventus striker Alessandro Matri is close to moving to Napoli, who are still trying to bolster their depth.

The former Cagliari forward is surplus to requirements at the Bianconeri and although he has been a target for other clubs on the Italian peninsula, Napoli are his likely destination.

According to Tuttosport, Matri is close to signing a five-year deal with the Partenopei worth €2.7 million a season.

Napoli wing-back Juan Camilo Zuniga has been of interest to Juve for some time and the Bianconeri will make a greater push for him once Matri leaves.

The Bianconeri have asked the Partenopei to guarantee that if Matri heads to Napoli, they won’t block the Colombian from going to Turin.

Matri is expected to give Napoli a response within the next 24 hours.

The Juventus striker played 22 Serie A matches last season and scored eight goals. In all competitions, he scored 10 goals in 35 matches.
