Burak Yilmaz - GalatasarayLazio are currently having difficulties in trying to sign Galatasary striker Burak Yilmaz and are now considering PSV striker Tim Matavz as a back up plan.

In the last couple of days Lazio have been in negotiations with Galatasary for Yilmaz, who has scored 26 goals in 32 games, and is President Cladio Lotito now flying out to Istanbul for personal talks to settle the move.

However, according to the Corriere dello Sport, the transfer will be very difficult as the €8m Lazio offer is way below the €15m asking price.

Therefore, the Biancocelesti are now focusing on PSC Eindhoven striker Matavz, who scored 23 goals in 49 games last season, as a back up signing if the Yilmaz deal doesn’t go through.

Unfortunately, in order to afford the purchase, Lazio intend to sell their Czech forward Libor Kozak, for an estimated €8 million, a transfer in which Lazio believe will go through.

“We have several forwards, some young and some experienced, amongst those there is Kozak. The transfer window is open until September 2nd and developments are expected”, said Igli Tare, Lazio’s sporting director.
