Lazio show interest in Galatasaray striker
The 28-year-old has only been with the Turkish team for one season, but could possibly be on his way out if the Italian side make the right offer.
Egesel spoke to the Corriere dello Sport about the Biancocelesti’s attempt to purchase his client.
“Lazio are the only side in the running to sign him,” said the agent.
“They have made an important offer for him, but it has not been accepted for now because Galatasaray don’t want to lose him.”
The player’s representative also commented on rumours claiming that Chelsea have had their eye on the player and dismissed them as false.
It’s been reported that the Aquilotti have made a bid of around €10 million for Yilmaz, which was rejected because the Turkish giants have supposedly put the asking price at around €15m.
According to the Corriere della Sera-Roma, reports in Turkey speculate that talks are at such an advanced stage that Lazio president Claudio Lotito could be making his way to Istanbul to complete a deal sometime soon.
