Lazio’s Klose: I will score against Juventus
The German has yet to find the net against the Bianconeri in seven attempts, but hopes that will change on Sunday evening.
“I am sure that sooner or later I will score a goal against Juve. Hopefully it will happen tomorrow,” he told the press.
“Besides, I am not the only person who can score goals. Our midfield is full of attacking players like Antonio Candreva and Senad Lulic. I hope to score even more this year, although I am also happy to provide assists.
“It is fundamental to play as a unit both when attacking and defending.
“[Carlos] Tevez is a great player who can win a game by himself. He has great movement and a fierce shot, so he is an excellent striker.
“Juventus have many players who can hurt Lazio, for example Arturo Vidal with his movement behind the defence.
“This is our first official game of the season and we want to prove we’re ready. I am sure we can win, especially in our home stadium, though as always we’d need a bit of luck.”
The 35-year-old also spoke about his future as his contract without he Biancocelesti expires in one year.
“There is the possibility I could renew my contract after the World Cup. I could stay or I could return to Germany. We’ll see,” he concluded.
