Liverpool target close to Napoli move
With first-team opportunities in Turin looking limited for the 28-year-old it is believed that he attended a meeting with Bianconeri officials Beppe Marotta, Luca Paratici and coach Antonio Conte on Sunday to decide his future.
According to Sportmediaset the side from Naples have submitted an offer of €12 million that has met Juventus’ valuation of the striker, however, with Liverpool also expressing a strong interest in the former Cagliari man he faces a difficult decision on his future.
With a World Cup at the end of the season Matri will be looking for as much more playing time as possible yet neither side could guarantee him a starting berth, particularly Napoli where he would likely be second choice to Gonzalo Higuain.
During the 2012-13 season Matri still managed 32 Serie A appearances for the champions scoring nine times.
