Napoli linked with swoop for West Bromwich Albion striker

Peter Odemwingie - WBA coach is being linked with a move for striker as his search for a backup striker continues.

The Azzurri’s favoured candidate for the role is ’s , with the club still waiting on ’ Italian international , but now experienced campaigner Odemwingie has emerged as another option.

The 32-year-old Nigerian represents a much cheaper alternative, with the Daily Mirror reporting that an offer of around €1.5 million should be enough to prize him away from the Hawthorns.

However, Napoli will have to contend with for the player’s signature with the Championship club pressing hard for a deal to go through.

Odemwingie moved to West Brom from Russian side in 2010 and has 31 goals in 89 appearances for the Baggies.
