Astori - CagliariDespite Cagliari chairman Massimo Cellino insisting the Sardinian club have concluded their transfer business for the summer, it appears as though Roma have made an offer to co-own Rossoblu centre-back Davide Astori.

Cellino has recently stated his club are finished in this summer’s transfer window, but it appears he will have to continue to ward off suitors for his players.

Sky Sport reports that Roma made a fresh offer for Astori just hours after Cellino’s assertions, rumoured to be in the form of a €7.5 million co-ownership deal.

The Italian international has also been linked with Manchester United this summer, and is widely known to have had a lucrative move to Russian side Spartak Moscow unceremoniously cancelled by Cellino last year.

The 26-year-old has been with Cagliari since 2008, having started his career in AC Milan’s youth ranks.
