Kevin Strootman RomaRoma midfielder Kevin Strootman has confessed that it will take time to settle in to his new surroundings but is happy with the way his time at Roma has started.

Strootman joined the giallorossi from PSV Eindhoven for a fee of €17 million in this transfer window and was involved in Roma’s win over an MLS All Star side on Wednesday evening.

“I have to get used to the team and my team-mates, also learn the language,” the 23-year-old told journalists in the mixed zone following the All Star game.

“It’s difficult but I know the things that I have to know on the pitch and that’s very important.

“It’s nice to play with these kind of players”, the Dutchman continued, speaking in relation to Miralem Pjanic and Michael Bradley.

“They are really good players and with them I can play good. We have a squad of 24 players, and you can see the players that come in they did a good job.

“Yesterday we trained two times and this morning we trained so I’m a little bit tired, but it’s good for the preparation.”

Strootman made 32 appearances for PSV during the 2012-13 season netting on five occasions.
