Demba Ba ChelseaRoma are reportedly still tracking Chelsea striker Demba Ba and could be prepared to make another bid for him as the summer transfer window enters its final days.

According to Sportmediaset.it, the Giallorossi could be looking to sign the 28-year-old on a season-long loan deal, with an option to permanently buy him at the end of the campaign.

It’s also been reported that coach Rudi Garcia may request to buy the player outright, but on a deferred payment plan.

However, Chelsea may have already decided on what to do with the Senegalese international, who’s spent most of his time on the bench so far under new coach Jose Mourinho this season, by sending him back to former club Newcastle United on loan for a fee of around €3 million.

Newcastle are also thought to be keen toward this idea, as they have struggled up front since his departure during last season’s January transfer window.

Roma have so far picked up Adem Ljajic from Fiorentina and Gervinho from Arsenal this summer after selling Pablo Osvaldo to Southampton and are now possibly looking for another forward to replace Erik Lamela, who just completed his move to Tottenham Hotspur.
