Miralem Pjanic - RomaRoma midfielder Miralem Pjanic is ready to reject a move away from the Italian capital and will be staying put this summer, according to the player’s agent.

The Bosnian, who joined the Giallorossi from Lyon in 2011 for a fee in the region of €11 million, has been linked with moves to Barcelona, Paris Saint-Germain and Tottenham Hotspur earlier in the summer.

But agent Michele Gerbino ruled out a transfer for Pjanic during the current transfer window.

“Miralem is and will remain a Roma player,” Gerbino told Italian paper Centro Suono Sport. “He will not be sold this summer, absolutely not.”

Roma’s new coach Rudi Garcia is expected to deploy Pjanic in a three-man midfield alongside Daniele De Rossi and Kevin Strootman, who signed in a reported €20m deal from PSV Eindhoven earlier in the summer.

Garcia would be happy to hang on to one of the big names at the club after he oversaw the sales of Marquinhos and Pablo Osvaldo to Paris Saint-Germain and Southampton, respectively, for a combined fee in the region of €52m.
