Romulo ready to make an impact at Verona
After joining Hellas Verona from fellow Serie A side Fiorentina this summer Brazilian Romulo has insisted he is ready to make an impact with the newly promoted side and hopes to start against AC Milan on Saturday.
The 26-year-old reiterated that his motive for leaving Florence was the search for more first team opportunities after making just 20 league appearances last term for the Viola, with 10 coming from the substitute bench.
“I started out as full-back, in Brazil I used to play on the line of defence in the 4-3-3 or 4-4-2 and then with 3-5-2 I moved on to the wing,” Romulo told Tuttomercatoweb.
“I decided to leave Fiorentina to find a team that could give me more chances to play.
“Verona is ideal for me. On Saturday I’d like to play against Milan, but that is not for me to decide.
“The impact with my new team has been outstanding.
“What struck me about the Verona? Here you work a lot and it is good.”
