Schalke midfielder delighted to be home after sealing move away from AC Milan
The 26-year-old has had an eventful week after scoring a brace to secure AC Milan’s spot in the Champions League in their 3-0 victory over PSV Eindhoven on Wednesday.
Despite his exploits the Rossoneri have opted to sell the Ghanaian international to the Gelsenkirchen side, something which has left Boateng delighted.
“I am happy to have finally returned home to Germany,” he stated after his move according to milannews.it.
“This is the best championship in the world. Talks with Schalke began over a year ago but we had to wait for the right moment.
Schalke technical director Horst Heldt echoed the midfielder’s sentiment, stating that Milan were not as reluctant to let Boateng leave.
“It wasn’t difficult to convince Kevin, but it was difficult to convince Milan.”
