Toni feels like a kid again following AC Milan win
Having signed for the Serie A new boys from Fiorentina this summer, he struck twice on the opening night against AC Milan to send his side briefly to the top of the table and stun the Rossoneri.
Speaking to reporters after the game, the World Cup winner stated: “We were a little bit tense because it was our first game and we were playing against a strong team but it went well and I think that we played a great game.
“We reacted well to going behind and I really enjoyed it which I think you could see in my performance playing with many kids in this team and I feel like a kid too,” he continued.
“I have achieved much in my career but I will continue to sacrifice because I love this sport and we must continue to keep this enthusiasm.”
He also believes his side will need to reach a total of 40 points as quickly as possible if they are to remain in the division.
