Chievo Verona-Inter serie ATottenham Hotspur’s Andre Villas-Boas has called on the club to sign Inter defender Alvaro Pereira to bolster his side’s defence.

‘AVB’ previously coached the player during their time together at Porto and remains a big fan of the 27-year-old, meaning he is now looking at linking up with him once more at White Hart Lane.

The Times are reporting that as well as Erik Lamela, Spurs are looking to do a deal to bring another player from Italy to London and view the Uruguayan as a potentially key signing.

Pereira did not feature for Inter against Genoa this past weekend with Jonathan and Yuto Nagatomo now occupying his position and Javier Zanetti also has to come back from injury.

Regurgitated bullshit of a few months ago. Why not go the whole hog and add a whole host of former Porto players who did so well under AVB during his fantastic season at Porto, there’s still time before the window closes. Very lazy journalism indeed.
