Kevin Constant AC MilanAC Milan defender Kevin Constant has stated that the Rossoneri will try to prove that they are the stronger side this weekend when they take on Napoli.

Both teams are coming off of Champions League wins this week, as the Rossoneri beat Celtic 2-0 at home and the Partenopei were victorious over Borussia Dortmund 2-1.

The 26-year-old feels his side remain a threat even though a number of their starting players are currently unavailable due to injury.

“Yesterday’s win was important for a few reasons,” the Guinean international told Milan Channel.

“We had a lot of injuries, but we have shown that Milan is always Milan.

“This victory gives us great confidence in the view of the important match on Sunday.

“We are a fantastic team and we face great competition, but we are all ready to play when we’re called into question.

“Yesterday I tried to push so much. It was so long since I played and I was more tired in the second half.

“I’m always available to the coach. Yesterday he made me play and I tried to show him that I can do well.

“Napoli? They started the season well. On Sunday when they come to the San Siro we’ll try to prove that we’re stronger than them.

“We’ll be starting with a disadvantage, so we must work well in these next few days to make a great game.

“[Nigel] De Jong? He’s a pitbull. He’s very important for us on the field and in the locker room. He’s a true leader.”
