AC Milan starlet Stephan El Shaarawy will not take part in the Rossoneri’s match against Torino on Saturday after picking up a right thigh injury during training.

The 20-year-old has struggled to rediscover his form from the first half of last season and has only found the back of the net three times since the beginning of 2013.

Now he must also deal with an injury to his right thigh after picking up the problem during the Diavolo’s final training session before travelling to Turin for Saturday’s match.

The injury was confirmed on the Rossoneri’s official website, stating that the youngster will undergo tests in the coming days to diagnose how much time he is set to miss.

“AC Milan communicates that, during the course of finishing training today, Stephan El Shaarawy has picked up a muscle injury to the biceps femoris muscle of the right thigh,” the statement read.

“In the coming days the player will undergo further medical examinations to determine a prognosis and recovery time.”

The news will come as another blow to Massimiliano Allegri who saw Ignazio Abate, Mattia De Sciglio and Matias Silvestre all ruled out this week due to injuries.

They will join the likes Daniele Bonera, Gabriel, and Giampaolo Pazzini on the treatment table as the Rossoneri will see their depth tested in the coming weeks due to the injury crisis.
