AC Milan have been linked with a move for promising Cagliari full-back Nicola Murru following his breakthrough into the Rossoblu starting line-up.

The Cagliari native, who has represented Italy at Under-17, Under-18 and Under-19 levels, has started the season as coch Diego Lopez’s preferred option at left-back, keeping Brazilian Danilo Avelar out of the side.

According to Sportmediaset.it, Milan have contacted Isolani president Massimo Cellino regarding the possibility of signing the 18-year-old next season.

Milan have used both Urby Emanuelson and Kevin Constant at left-back this season with Mattia De Sciglio, a naturally right-sided defender used frequently at left-back, currently unavailable after having undergone surgery for a recurring knee injury.

The Rossoneri’s only win after three Serie A games so far this season came in a 3-1 victory over Cagliari with Murru playing the full 90 minutes.
