Agent of Barcelona defender admits client could leave Spain amidst Inter and Napoli interest
The 22-year-old’s contract with the Spanish giants expires next summer, and with regular first team football hard to come by, could opt for a move away from the Catalan club amidst interest from Inter and Napoli in Italy.
“At the moment there is a contract with Barcelona and Martin will remain with the Blaugrana until the end of the season,” Jose Maria Orobitg told fcinternews.it.
“However at the moment an extension has not arrived: we are in talks but there are no certainties because Montoya would like to start at he is not in the squad because of Dani Alves.
“If he continues not to play he could leave. In the past there was interest from Italian clubs like Inter and Napoli along with Bayer Leverkusen, Borussia Dortmund and Liverpool. Everything is possible, even a move to Italy.”
