Bologna coach praises new forward
The Felsinei tactician also revealed that the Argentine joined Bologna as a way of gaining experience in the Italian game.
Pioli spoke to Sky Sports and immediately praised the new arrival from Metalist Kharkiv.
“He is a very motivated guy, who chose Bologna to gain experience in Italian football,” the Rossoblu coach explained, before indicating how he would be able to deploy the 24-year-old within his side.
“He can play either as a second striker, or lead the line ahead of Diamanti,” he added before conceding it may be a little while before fans at the Stadio Renato dall’Ara get to see Cristaldo in action.
“I believe he has the right qualities to be useful for the team” Pioli enthused, “but I don’t know how soon he will be ready as he must return to Argentina next week”.
The former Chievo coach went on to reassure fans that Alessandro Diamanti remained at the forefront of the club’s plans, despite the pressure he may be under.
“Alessandro has already proven able to withstand these pressures and we have never thought of a Bologna without him”.
