Bosnian youngster earmarked as the future of the AC Milan midfield
Despite Kaka and Riccardo Montolivo holding the playmaking duties for AC Milan this season, the future of the Rossoneri midfield has been identified in young Bosnia and Herzegovina native Andrej Modic.
The 17-year-old playmaker has impressed this season for the Milan Primavera side under the guidance of former striker Filippo Inzaghi, however, it is believed that he could soon find himself entertaining the San Siro fans.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport the youngster impressed many observers, including Diavolo coach Massimiliano Allegri, during his 45 minute run out in the friendly against Chiasso arranged for Kaka’s return.
Modic displayed excellent technical abilities during the match as well as demonstrating his quality from dead-ball expertise that could become an important attribute in coming years.
While it is still early to guess when he will receive a call-up for the Rossoneri first team, Modic’s name is expected to come up several times throughout the season if he continues to impress.
