Colomba: AC Milan should consider fielding young forward at full-back
With Ignazio Abate and Mattia De Sciglio both ruled out through injury, coach Massimiliano Allegri has limited options at the full-back position for the Rossoneri’s match against the Granata.
As a result Colomba, who has coached the likes of Parma, Bologna, Napoli and Reggina during his career, believes Allegri will have to invent something in order to fill the void at the position.
“[Cristian] Zaccardo will be very motivated but Niang could be invented as a full-back,” Colomba told Sportitalia.
“Abate was originally a winger and became a full-back. You could have Zaccardo on the right and Niang on the left. If you don’t have the players you must invent something.
“Even [Andrea] Poli could play there. These are just inventions but if they aren’t there something must be created.”
