De Jong: New signings will have no trouble settling at AC Milan
After Kaka and Alessandro Matri joined AC Milan towards the end of the summer transfer window midfielder Nigel De Jong has insisted that neither will find any difficulty integrating with the squad, but are lacking a little match fitness.
The 28-year-old expressed his belief that inclusion is aided through each of the Rossoneri squad understanding their responsibilities, although he would not confirm whether he defined himself of one of the leaders at the San Siro.
“It is easy for any player to fit into this squad because everybody knows their role here,” De Jong told Milan Channel.
“Kaka and Matri both need to find a bit of match fitness, but they are working hard in training.
“We are strong as a team, it is just a shame that we have a few injuries at this point of the season. But they will soon be back.
“The team is in good shape and we are going for the win at Torino on Saturday.
“It’s hard to say whether I am one of the sides leaders or not, to be honest, that is something for my teammates to comment on.
“Perhaps there is more than one in this squad.”
