El Shaarawy could be forced to leave AC Milan
The summer signings of Alessandro Matri and Kaka as well as the return from injury of Giampaolo Pazzini, leave the 20-year-old Italo-Egyptian in a precarious position at the San Siro, and his exclusion in week two against Cagliari was a matter of much discussion.
According to la Gazzetta dello Sport, coach Massimiliano Allegri now prefers to play with attackers that offer more depth, while there is a real risk that there will be an embarrassment of riches in the striking department.
Given the likely January arrival of CSKA Moscow’s Keisuke Honda, the situation at the club could soon see the Italian international put on the transfer market, and he would not be short of suitors with Manchester City, Arsenal, Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain all keen on acquiring the player’s services.
However, for now attention will turn to the pitch, and it remains to be seen if Allegri can manage his attacking players without creating further tensions in the squad.
