Ex-Juventus midfielder Marrone: I moved to Sassuolo for continuity
The 23-year-old Bianconeri youth product signed for the Neroverdi on a co-ownership deal this summer after finding first team opportunities hard to come-by at the Juventus stadium, and he hopes that he will now be able to show his true potential.
“I thank the club because they showed that they really wanted me,” Marrone told tuttosassuolocalcio.com.
“It’s my objective to play with that continuity that I didn’t have at Juve. I’d like to carve out an important place here and finally demonstrate my true value.”
“We didn’t get off on the right foot, but I’m sure that the victories will come,” he continued.
“We know how to bounce back from this and get our satisfaction.
“My favourite role? It is playing in front of the defence.”
The Boscanero native has spent his entire career in Turin with the exception of a loan stint at Siena in the 2010/11 season, but only managed one goal in 20 senior appearances in his time with the Old Lady.
