Former Roma coach Zdenek Zeman has stated that he is happy to see the Giallorossi atop the Serie A standings while praising the work of tactician Rudi Garcia.

The 66-year-old Czech worked at the capital club last season but was sacked in February when his team failed to deliver results.

Aurelio Andreazzolli took over his duties at the capital club as interim coach before Rudi Garcia was named as his successor this summer.

“If you win 5 games out of 5 I can only say bravo!,” the tactician told Sportmediaset.it regarding Garcia’s start at the club.

“I have always been a Roma fan and I am glad to see them on top of the list.

“I hope they can withstand for a long time.”

Zeman also coached the capital club from 1997 to 1999.
