Juventus coach part of managerial merry-go-round
The Lecce-born tactician has been linked with the position at Arsenal, who are anticipating their own coach, Arsene Wenger, moving to Paris Saint Germain at the end of the current campaign.
Sportmediaset report that with Cesare Prandelli set to vacate the Azzurri’s bench at the end of the current World Cup campaign, Conte would be first choice, but it is understood that he would not accept any offer from the FIGC to take over as national coach.
Prandelli himself, according to TuttoMercatoWeb, would then be installed at the Bianconeri in Conte’s former position at the Juventus Stadium.
That would mean the governing body would then turn to Massimiliano Allegri, currently in charge of AC Milan, to lead them towards Euro 2016. Allegri has been under fire in his position at the San Siro for some time, and it is expected that he would accept any overtures to join Italy.
Filling Allegri’s shoes at the Rossoneri, the report continues, would be current Diavolo Primavera coach and AC Milan hero Filippo Inzaghi, who has been impressing the hierarchy in Milan since being installed last season.
