Italian champions Juventus will reignite their interest in former Liverpool midfielder Xabi Alonso with the Real Madrid man unlikely to agree a contract extension in the Spanish capital.

The Spanish international’s current deal expires at the end of this season and it is reported that the Old Lady are ready to offer around €6.7 million over two years to secure his signature when he is released in June.

However, according to Tuttosport the Bianconeri may even look to bring the 31-year-old to Turin during the January transfer window but Madrid president Florentino Perez would demand at least €6 million for the midfielder.

In January Juventus will also decide on the future of veteran playmaker Andrea Pirlo with his contract with the club also expiring in June 2014 and the former Real Sociedad player a candidate to replace the Italian.

With the Carlo Ancelotti seemingly deeming the midfielder surplus to requirements for his new look side the Bianconeri are not the only club interested in Alonso with fellow Serie A sides AC Milan and Fiorentina also keen to sign the World Cup winner.
