Manchester United have reportedly revived their interest in Lazio midfielder Antonio Candreva.

The 26-year-old has been a target of the English side for some time now, but none of the proposals have ever materialized and the player now seems to be settled in well with the Biancocelesti.

According to Sportmediaset.it, the reigning Premier League champions could make their strongest and final move for the Italian international come this January, though it’s not known if the midfielder has any desire to leave Rome.

New Manchester United coach David Moyes failed to make any big purchases during the summer transfer window aside from Marouane Fellaini from Everton which didn’t happen until the closing hours of the transfer window.

Antonio Candreva first joined the Aquilotti on a loan deal from Udinese in January 2012 and was fully bought out by the Roman club during the 2012-13 campaign.

The midfielder has been playing more of a vital role at Lazio and has previously stated that he wishes to remain at the club for some time.
