Muriel: Win helped Udinese forget European failure
The Zebrette lost their Europa League play-off against Czech side Slovan Liberec after suffering a damaging 3-1 defeat at home, followed by a 1-1 draw.
“We needed to win a game to forget what happened in Europe,” said Muriel to Sky Italia after the win against Parma.
“Now we think about the championship and try to reach 40 points as soon as possible.”
The Colombian international scored Udinese’s third against Parma from the spot to seal their first win of the season.
“I always try to score and help the team, I hope to do it in every game.
“A dedication? From now on all my goals will be for my daughter.”
Udinese host Bologna after the international break before travelling to Chievo a week later.
