Napoli forward admits to Champions League chills
The 22-year-old was impressive during the Partenopei’s 2-1 victory over their German opponents and he scored a stunning free kick goal in the second half, which he admits turned out better than he expected, though he received a yellow card for taking off his shirt during the celebration.
“Hearing the Champions League anthem on the field gave me chills,” said the Italian international. “[Paolo] Cannavaro had told me it would beforehand.
“When I took the free kick I was afraid that the ball had come out of the goal, but then I realised that it had been perfect.
“My celebration? I had planned on running under the Curva for a long time.
“I’m sorry for receiving the yellow card. I didn’t have to take off my shirt.
“The challenge against Milan? I hope the match goes correctly at the San Siro, and that it’s nice for the fans. Especially ours.”
