Prandelli’s Italy future to be decided before World Cup
As speculation grows about the possibility of the Italian coach leaving his post after the World Cup, Prandelli has stated his future ‘will not become a soap opera’.
While speaking to Sky Sport Italia, Abete said, “Obviously we will meet with Prandelli before the World Cup to discover his intentions.
“There is great clarity between us, so there will be no problems. He has done very well so far and we hope he can remain with us as long as possible.”
Prandelli’s current contract with the FIGC is set to expire after the 2014 World Cup in Brazil and rumours have already began to circulate in regards to who his successor could be.
The Azzurri’s place at the Brazil World Cup was confirmed on Tuesday evening following a 2-1 comeback victory over the Czech Republic.
