Striker delighted after first Inter goal
The 20-year-old Argentine striker came off the bench to open the scoring in the Derby D’Italia on September 14 before Juventus equalised minutes later to end the game 1-1.
“It was wonderful, scoring my first official Inter goal and to get it against Juventus too,” said Icardi to Inter channel.
“The noise from the fans was incredible when the ball went in, as it was so loud!
“Of course, if every year I get a goal against the Bianconeri…” joked the former Sampdoria man who has a habit of scoring against the Old Lady, with four goals in his last three meetings against the reigning Scudetto holders.
Icardi also revealed that he is happy to have begun forming a strike partnership with one of his compatriots at the San Siro:
“Rodrigo Palacio is someone who moves very well, so I like playing by his side.”
