Fiorentina midfielder Massimo Ambrosini is set for a spell on the sideline’s after suffering a lesion to his thigh during the Viola’s 4-2 victory over Juventus on Sunday.
The Gigliati mounted a monstrous second half comeback thanks to a Giuseppe Rossi hat-trick to defeat the Bianconeri but the news was not all positive.
Ambrosini limped off in the first half and the club have confirmed he suffered a lesion to his thigh. He will undergo further tests in the coming days but the fear is he will miss a significant period of time.
Ambrosini joined the Viola from AC Milan over the summer and has made eight appearances in all competitions thus far.
