Inter midfielder McDonald Mariga has been linked with a potential January transfer to the English Premier League.

The Kenya international has also been touted with a permanent return to former side Parma, although the defensive midfielder is rumoured to be interested in a move to England.

According to FCInterNews.it, Nerazzurri coach Walter Mazzarri will assess whether Mariga is part of his plans in December as the Kenyan is currently returning to fitness following a succession of long-term injuries.

Should the 26-year-old permanently move away from the San Siro, it is believed he is garnering interest from several Premier League clubs in addition to the Gialloblu.

The Kenyan international previously had a move to Manchester City cancelled in 2010 after failing to secure a work permit and could be tempted to England as younger brother Victor Wanyama currently plays for Southampton.

Mariga was part of the Inter side that completed a famous treble in 2010, but struggled to hold down a place and joined Real Sociedad on loan before a two loan stints at Parma.
