Napoli have drawn up a list of their proposed targets to add to the squad in January with their number one priority believed to be Lucas Leiva of Liverpool.
They have identified three midfielders who they could be tempted into a move for in January as well as another defensive target.
According to Tuttosport, the Brazilian Lucas is top of their wishlist but he is also joined by Ligue 1 duo Maxime Gonalons and Blaise Matuidi.
Partenopei president Aurelio De Laurentiis has already admitted to being a big fan of the Lyon midfielder while the PSG man Matuidi is out of contract in June.
Reports also suggested that a proposed swap with Roma for Paolo Cannavaro and Nicolas Burdisso will not happen but that the club are seriously interested in acquiring Martin Montoya from Barcelona.
