It has been reported that capital side Roma will join the race for the signature of disgraced Valencia defender Adil Rami with coach Rudi Garcia wanting to be reunited with the man who was fundamental in Lille’s double winning campaign in 2011.
With the centre-back openly criticizing Valencia coach Miroslav Djukic and his teammates on French radio it is unlikely that the 27-year-old will play for the Spanish side again this season and will depart in January.
According to Tuttomercatoweb, the Giallorossi will still face competition from Serie A rivals Inter and Napoli for the France international, but his relationship with Garcia from their time in Ligue 1 could be crucial.
The French coach arrived at Lille in June 2008 and made the defender a permanent fixture in his side making 103 league appearances and scoring seven times before he departed for La Liga in 2011.
