The Brazilian press is convinced that Santos will once again attempt to sign Robinho from AC Milan in the January transfer window.

The Brazilian club had pursued Robinho in previous transfer windows but a deal failed to materialize on each instance due to financial disagreements between the Peixe and the Rossoneri.

According to TuttoMercatoWeb, Santos are safe frontrunners for Binho’s signature this January, but the possibility of striking a deal with club and player will depend upon their ability to meet the economic demands which they have found difficult to meet in the past.

The diminutive attacker has failed to impress this campaign despite showing signs of promise during pre-season, and the club of his childhood intend on bringing their prodigal son back home.

Given the quality of competition in Milan’s attack this season, Robinho could decide to leave the club to gain a prominent role in another side, and few destinations would welcome his arrival in the same fashion as the Brazilian club.
