AC Milan are reportedly interested signing Real Madrid and Spanish midfielder Xabi Alonso.
The 31-year-old will be without a contract at the end of the season and Milan are considering signing the midfielder.
Radio Madrid reports that Milan will attempt to bring Alonso to Serie A for the 2014-15 season.
Alonso has been plagued by a metatarsal injury at the start of the season and has struggled for appearances this season.
Milan are just one of many Serie A clubs who are or have been interested in securing the Spaniard’s services.
Fiorentina and Juventus were both rumoured to be interested in signing the midfielder earlier this year.
Milan, however, are now interested in signing the former-Liverpool player on a free transfer at the end of the season.
Alonso has made only four appearances this so far for Madrid and is yet to play a full match this season.
