Christian Abbiati and Kaka met with approximately 300 angry AC Milan fans after the club’s disappointing 1-1 draw against 10 men Genoa on Saturday night.

The Rossoneri were unable to pick up the three points despite playing with the man advantage for an hour, sparking the fans to block the player’s from exiting the San Siro.

Striker Mario Balotelli reportedly tried to walk out and face the fans, but he was blocked by the police. Instead, Kaka and Abbiati spoke with the fans.

The players were allowed to leave after agreeing to make more of an effort to change results, along with changing the attitude of certain players accused of focusing on their night life rather than training.

The protest ended around midnight with no reports of violence or damage to property.

This came after chants from angry supporters that included “You are a team of s**t, you have broken our b***s”, “Embarrassing, embarrassing, you must honour the jersey” and “They already know we will be playing on Saturday next season” (the usual matchday for Serie B).
