AC Milan are considering a bid for Newcastle defender Davide Santon in January as part of an attempt to upgrade their defence in January.

Milan have not won a Serie A game in the last four attempts, and have targeted defensive and midfield upgrades for the winter transfer window.

Sport Mediaset report that Newcastle full back Davide Santon and Roma defender Nicolas Burdisso are part of a list that also includes Genoa midfielders Juraj Kucka and Francesco Lodi.

The Rossoneri have already secured deals for Valencia centre back Adil Rami and CSKA Moscow playmaker Keisuke Honda and are looking at bringing in more players in the hope of challenging for a Champions League spot at the end of the season.

Mediaset also report that Milan will look to offload Kevin Constant, Antonio Nocerino, Christian Zaccardo and Riccardo Saponara to free up space in the squad for new arrivals.

NOOOOO not Saponara. They should keep him. Agree get rid of nocerino, Zaccardo, Robinho or Matri, And Constant. Replace Constant with Santon, Zaccardo with Burdisso, Nocerino with Kucka or Lodi.

Then we could line up like this:
    —————-Gabriel———-
    -Abate-Burdisso–Rami-De Sciglio-
    —-Kucka——Poli——De jong-
    -Honda—–El Shaarawy——Kaka-

Subs: Abbiati,Santon, Mexes, Emanueslon, Montolivo, Muntari, Niang, Balotelli.
