Roma midfielder Michael Bradley feels that Borussia Dortmund’s Marco Reus would do very well at the Serie A side.

The 26-year-old American international played with the German attacker whilst the duo were at Bundesliga side Borussia Moenchengladbach from 2009 to early 2011, before he departed on loan to Aston Villa.

And his former teammate left a good impression on Bradley, who enthusiastically endorsed him as a good option for the Giallorossi to bolster their attack options.

“I’d definitely recommend [Marco] Reus to Roma,” he opined to German publication Kicker.

“When he arrived at Borussia Moenchengladbach, he was very shy, but watching him in every training session, we knew he’d become a fantastic player. He’d be perfect working alongside [Francesco] Totti here.”

Bradley also touched on his hopes for his season, both at club and national level as the United States has qualified for the upcoming World Cup tournament next year in Brazil.

“My ideal season would be for us to win the Scudetto, and then for [the U.S.] to be able to beat either Germany or Italy in a World Cup match.”
