Former AC Milan star Zvonimir Boban has hit out at Rossoneri star Mario Balotelli for his lack of professionalism.
The 23-year-old has been on the receiving end of criticism for his recent poor form as the Diavolo currently sit in a disappointing 13th spot in the league.
Balotelli missed a penalty during the Rossoneri’s recent 1-1 draw at home against Genoa, but Boban believes the Italian international’s biggest problem is his poor attitude.
“Balotelli? Let’s stop talking about this Balotelli, he has done nothing but sit on the bench throughout his life,” the Sky Sport commentator lashed out.
“He will always be smaller than Milan and Milan will always be bigger than him. His lazy attitude shows that he is unable to understand certain things with his mind.
“He doesn’t understand what it means to wear this jersey. Take Kaka for example, a man that has won everything and is certainly richer than him, and unlike him, runs and gives as much effort as a youngster.
“Balotelli would have carried the bags for [Marco] Van Basten, for [George] Weah and for [Andriy] Shevchenko.
“Two late arrivals to training in two days? In my Milan he would have been slapped around by people like [Paolo] Maldini, [Marcel] Desailly, Seba Rossi, [Alessandro] Costacurta, and [Franco] Baresi.
